Community.
Since the start of her career, Amber has worked within communities, whether that be setting up projects with local primary schools where she ran cookery classes, to volunteering with The Felix Project, Hackney School of Food and acting as Ambassador for Kelly’s Cause as well as Young Chef Ambassador for The Craft Guild of Chefs. She has most recently spoken at the Houses of Parliament on a panel discussing the importance of Free School Meals for all students from families that receive Universal Credit and speaking to parliamentarians as part of the School Food Review 2025.
Community forms a vital part of Amber’s work and has guided her to her latest project, working with Chefs in Schools at a State Education Secondary School in North London. Here Amber’s role is Head Chef and Senior Food Educator, reinventing the way that the students, staff and parents look at food. She develops menus and trains the onsite team to deliver high quality food using suppliers from her years in restaurant kitchens. As Senior Food Educator Amber has the opportunity to lead on students’ learning around food outside of the classroom, whether that be on a farm, in a kitchen or the canteen.
Amber is always keen to hear how she can work with local community projects, charities and social enterprises.
